A significant portion of the transgender population faces severe challenges due to systemic discrimination and lack of opportunities. Alarmingly, 75% of transgender individuals are forced into prostitution as a means of survival. In Chile, 70% of trans and non-binary respondents report experiencing violence, with 64% stating they have faced denigration and dismissal of their professional or labor opinions. Furthermore, 50% of Chilean employees have been excluded from social and work meetings, and over 40% have suffered psychological harassment, including insults, verbal aggression, humiliation, and isolation by their colleagues. Additionally, 47% of trans and non-binary individuals perceive unequal treatment compared to their male peers, particularly in terms of benefits, promotion opportunities, and salaries.
After identifying the problem, it is defined that the product to be developed will be a cell phone application that allows searching for inclusive work focused on the trans and non-binary population in Chile.
